[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]e are sad to report that comedian and entertainment personality Joan Rivers has passed way today at the age of 81.
During a procedure on her vocal chords on August 28, Rivers went into cardiac arrest where she then went into an induced a coma while at Mount Sinai Hospital. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers told sources that she was resting comfortably the following day, before Joan was reportedly on life support on August 30.
Melissa Rivers issued a statement to the press on September 3, stating that Joan had moved to a private room from ICU while revealing no details to Joan’s condition. The following afternoon at 1:17pm, it was announced that she had passed away peacefully.
Joan River’s will be remembered by friends and family as well as fans through her lengthy entertainment and comedic career. She will be missed.
