[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]here is a certain, short list of games on the Playstation that are far different from the majority of the games you usually encounter. These games bring something special to the table, something unique that catches you off guard in a great way. I Am Bread falls into this category of surprisingly addicting and mind-boggling games. Check out the trailer below for I Am Bread!
The goal of I Am Bread is to become toast. Not toast as in your toast aka dead, but to literally become toast. At first it sounds rather easy, how hard could it possibly be to go from one side of the room to a toaster? Answer: surprisingly hard. Nonetheless, there is a twist to the process of becoming toast in I Am Bread. You don’t need the everyday kitchen appliance known as the toaster to become toast, you only need a heat source of some kind to become toast. Think outside the box and you’ll come up with several surprising ways to go from a soft slice of wheat bread to tasty, rough toast.
I Am Bread isn’t all about going from point A to point B, there are obstacles along the way that come in the form of mud, ants, water, etc. You name it and you are more than likely to encounter it. It is without a doubt a challenge in-of-itself to control a slice of bread, but don’t worry, once you get a handle on how to move about you can start grabbing household objects to swing, jump, and throw to get to where you want to go. Keep in mind that this game’s physics are quite realistic, so don’t view that gap from the kitchen counter to the next as an easy leap of faith!
There are other “game modes” in I Am Bread that you can take part in too. Roam around the garden or kitchen in Free Roam, or play I Am Bread in zero gravity. The multiple game modes and challenges in I Am Bread are definitely worthy of making this unique game one of the most popular games on the Playstation Store, so go and get yours today!
I Am Bread is now available for $12.99, $11.69 if you have PlayStation Plus.
