If you answered ‘No,’ you had better hurry up and have a binge gaming session, because the beta for the new co-op shooter is scheduled to close today, January 19th, at 8pm PDT / 11pm EDT.
Turtle Rock’s (Left 4 Dead) latest monster hunting game Evolve began it’s open beta for Xbox One on January 15th for anyone with a Gold account. No code for the game is required. Those wishing to take part can simply download the 20gb game from the Xbox Store, and then begin blasting monsters to a pulp.
The Evolve open beta on Xbox One features two playable Monsters (Goliath and Kraken), eight Hunters, and 12 maps. The Evacuation mode of the game was also made available on Friday. Still need convincing to check it out? Take a look at Evolve’s opening cinematic below!
If you’ve already taken advantage of the game and made a lot of progress, all Hunter and Monster characters you have unlocked through the beta will carry forward to the full game when it lands on February 10.
Turtle Rock and 2K Games also made the beta available on PlayStation 4 and PC, however the requirements to gain access to those versions was a bit more restrictive.
