“I’m in the system?”
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t might not be out until 2018, but Scott Lang’s second cinematic adventure in the MCU – Ant-Man and the Wasp – has been dropping us a steady stream of news over the past few months.
The Hollywood Reporter (via AVClub) recently revealed that Michael Peña will be returning to reprise his role as Luis – Scott Lang’s criminal chum who offered up some of the best comedic moments in the first movie.

Paul Rudd (Lang) and Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne) were for some time the only two confirmed original cast members from the first movie set to return, with it also being highly likely that Michael Douglas will reprise his role as Hank Pym.
There was however a rumour surrounding Basic Instinct actress Sharon Stone back in May, when Stone hinted that she may have a “wee part” in the movie. Many have speculated that she could be set to play Hope Van Dyne’s mother, Janet Van Dyne, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed or denied so far.
From everything we’ve heard about the Ant-Man sequel, we can’t wait for Scott Lang’s return to the big screens, and the addition of Michael Peña will hopefully add an extra helping of comedy that will make it just as fun as the first.
And maybe, just maybe, Luis’ return might mean we’ll be seeing his buddies Kurt (David Dastmalchian) and Dave (T.I.) make a comeback too.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to hit theatres 6 July, 2018.
