The film will focus on both Hal Jordan and John Stewart respectively.

Goyer has been nominated for writing the script for the film with Justin Rhodes working alongside him. The script for the film is being described as Lethal Weapon in space with ties to the original comics being mixed in.
With previous DC films like Batman v Superman coming through as a major let down for fans, it is hoped that David S Goyer, who worked on the script for the Dark Knight series, will be able to turn this around and produce a film that is actually worth watching. Since it looks like The LEGO Batman Movie will be the best DC films yet the bar isn’t exactly set too high for David S Goyer.
