While it has been known for some time, Ryan Reynolds will indeed be playing Deadpool/Wade Wilson in the 2016 Deadpool movie. TJ Miller will be playing Weasel, Deadpool’s best friend.Weasel is a friend, sidekick, information broker and arms dealer for Deadpool. Deadpool often abuses Weasel, but Weasel has displayed somewhat of a opportunistic streak against his best friend on occasions.

Morena Baccarin will be playing Vanessa, aka Copycat, a member of the X-Force. Gina Carana is appearing as Angel Dust, a mutant in the Marvel Universe. Olesia Shewchuk is playing a character named Guadalajran Mother, although after some research, it seems she will be an original character appearing in the Deadpool 2016 movie. Ed Skrein is listed as one of the main cast, but the character he is playing is unknown. Lastly, Style Dayne will be playing Jeremy, a character who steals all of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s human resource files (SHIELD CROSSOVER?!).
Tim Miller is directing the film. His existing directorial credits consist of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Gopher Broke, and Rockfish.
