Tom Holland truly is your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.
[dropcap size=small]L[/dropcap]ast month, Tom Holland proved to be every bit as good as his comic book persona, Peter Parker.
Taking a break from filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, Holland donned his Spidey suit and paid a visit to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta organisation at Egleston Hospital – a non-profit hospital which specialises in paediatric care.
Holland was joined by his Homecoming co-star Jacob Batalon (who’s playing Ned Leeds), where they were welcomed by Seacrest Studios Atlanta. Holland posed for various photos with children currently receiving care, as well as giving an interview about his experience making the upcoming film.
In the interview, Holland revealed that up to 20 Spidey suits are used and interchanged during the filming process as a result of the many stunts the 20 year-old actor has to perform as the webslinger. The suit he’s wearing in the interview is also apparently referred to as a “beauty suit,” since it’s described as being “photo ready”.
It’s always wonderful to see actors truly embody the good guy vibes of their characters and spare a moment to brighten up a kid’s day – especially when they’re suffering from an illness.
Many of Holland’s Marvel comrades have also paid similar visits to various foundations and hospitals in the past. The most recent Marvel duo were Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth, who visited Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, as Thor and Loki.
