The next Bourne movie will take place 12 years after Bourne Ultimatum.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he veil of secrecy has partially lifted over the highly anticipated Bourne 5 movie and judging by the details released, it’s going to be a great movie. All-star cast line up? Check. Strong plotline? Check. Matt Damon kicking some ass? Check. In Bourne 5, which doesn’t have a title yet, the problems that we are facing right now in the real world will transfer over to the movie.
“There’s been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyber warfare and civil liberties,” explained Matt Damon in his interview with Entertainment Weekly. Once again Jason Bourne will be pursuing answers to his past and when the film is released viewers will encounter a Jason Bourne that is much different from the Jason Bourne we previously encountered in the original Bourne trilogy. “We find him in a dark and tortured place,” explained Matt Damon.
In addition to Matt Damon returning to reprise his role as Jason Bourne, Tommy Lee Jones will play the role of a seasoned CIA agent, Ex Machina star Alicia Vikander will make an appearance as a cyber specialist and actors Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) and Julia Stiles will be involved in the film as well.
