[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]e got a glimpse of the January 2015 issue of Shueisha’s V Jump magazine, and there’s a huge reveal for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z movie. That’s right, Frieza is back.
When the teaser dropped a few months ago, the new movie earned the temporary, rumored title, “The Worst Wish Ever” after there was speculation that the Z-Fighters wanted to revive the main series villain. Lo and behold, Frieza will be returning to seek revenge on the Saiyans.
The official movie title is Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F or, in English, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of Frieza. The magazine confirms that the new film, slated for an April 2015 release, will be in 2D and 3D. I can already see myself standing up for this movie’s Spirit Bomb.
EDIT: Beerus and Whis, alongside other numerous Z-Fighters, are confirmed for re-appearance. V Jump describes the movie’s storyline as follows:
“An Earth where peace has arrived. However, remnants of Frieza’s army Sorbet and Tagoma (from the Japanese word for ‘egg’) arrive on the planet. Their goal is to revive Frieza with the dragon balls. Their dastardly wish is granted, the “F” that plans its revenge against the Saiyans is revived…!”
Sorbet and Tagoma have also been revealed, two new henchmen that have survived and somehow managed to hide for nine seasons. Is it April yet?

I doubt that will happen. I’m sure Toriyama anticipated that fans would expect something like this to happen, and he most likely saw right through that. He loves writing plots that the meet the opposite of the fans’ expectations. In any case, we shall see.

Could be Gohan. Could be Yamcha. Could be neither. What a mind F that would be.
This movie takes place after Battle of Gods, when Gohan is already an adult. Gohan, as an adult, has hair that stands straight up. After some analyzing, it may not be Yamcha, but I don’t think it’s Gohan. Could be an older Goten. No need to get your sexy lace panties in a bunch, I’m sure all of the following characters will be returning.

Frieza gets wished back but how is he going to jump in power level to catch up and beat goku and the z warriors. Goku is a god. SS1 is enough to destroy frieza I’m actually looking forward to how they do all this.
If they revive frieza and make him a god then they need to give him an awesome new transformation.

Keeping in mind that the Saiyan God can only be one at a time, Vegeta will likely take this while Goku sits envious and jealous off to the side. Whis and Beerus though… I am curious what roles they play this time around.

Freeza is coming back way to many times. Plus in the first movie foul was only a good for a sorry time cuz they said his body freewheeling the power of a God was enough to push his normal state to new heights so he’s already add strong ad a god in his normal state now so there is no need for golly to go god anymore. Maybe Freeza will go to his final form that frezas brother was able to a achieve. And what’s with the new symbol on Gould shirt. And Vegeta might go god or ssj 3. That’s my prediction

I don’t get how this is the worst wish? Goten could easily wipe the floor with frieza. But after carefully looking at the poster, Frieza appears to have the super saiyan god aura around him. Maybe they wished him back on the level of a super saiyan god? That’s the only way this could be the worst wish. And if Frieza comes back immortal, then the z fighters and rest of the universe are truly F’d up. That then I can see it being the worst wish.
Keep in mind that the earth Dragon Balls provide two wishes now. One could be the revival, the other could be to wish for god-like status.
just saying, shenron power is limited. If becoming a god were that simple, then let’s ask shenron to become krillin and yamcha gods. If i remember correctly, on power matters, shenron can only give as a max his own amount of power, which is pretty low (piccolo’s father killed him in DB)
thats totally yamcha in that poster. There isn’t enough resolution to see his scars though. And my guess is that bills and Weiss sent those 2 minions to revive Frieza because bills was curious about how goku beat Frieza (the reason he showed up on king Kai’s planet in the first place.) maybe he wanted to see how things would go if frieza was at full potential?

I think frieza would have a struggle because can’t vegeta fuse with goku in super sayin god and lord Bearus and whis defeat frieza easily
Hey! Thats an interesting concept. Hadnt thought of that. Not sure the logistics or limitations, buy a Super Saiyan God Gogeta?! Man, two Super Saiyan Gods doing a fusion dance would really be quite the sight, wouldnt it? Baha, right on!
