Avengers 3: Infinity War-Part 1 will start filming in 2016, and we can’t help but wonder what is still to come for Earth’s mightiest heroes?
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]vengers: Age of Ultron is in theaters now, but we can’t stop looking ahead to what Marvel Studios is going to throw at us next. We know the names of what movies will be coming and out and what year, but there is still the question of “where are the last two infinity gems, and what movie will they we revealed in?”
Four of the six infinity gems have been found so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first being the glowing blue cube called the Tesseract (Space Stone) that appears in Captain America: The First Avenger. The second was the red liquid they called the Aether (Reality Stone) from Thor 2: The Dark World, the third gem was from Guardians of the Galaxy, it was the Orb (Power Stone) or the purple stone that vaporized anyone who touched it. The fourth and latest gem to be found was in Loki’s scepter and now is the yellow jewel in Vision’s headpiece (Mind Stone) in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The final two being the Time and Soul Stones, and according to Uproxx they will appear in Doctor Strange and Thor: Ragnarok.
Esquire sat down with Captain America himself Chris Evans and he talked a little about the upcoming dates for filming the third installment of the Avengers series.
“We start ‘Captain America 3: Civil War’ in a couple of weeks,And then, that shoots until August or something like that. Then, I have got some downtime and I can do with it as I please, and then we start the ‘Infinity War,’ I think, sometime in the third quarter – fall or winter of 2016. That is going to be, like, nine months to shoot both movies back-to-back.”
Little or nothing is known about the story plot for Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1, but what we do know is that the team will face-off against Thanos. You know that big purple guy that Gamora refers to as “Father” in Guardians of the Galaxy. If you have seen Avengers: Age of Ultron and stayed through the credits (lets face it you should know by now to stay till they turn the lights on and the people come in to sweep up the popcorn) he was the one who put on the giant golden glove, know as the Infinity Gauntlet. The wearer of this glove can collect all infinity gems will have unimaginable power.
We most likely have three more movies to go through till we get to see a bigger role for Thanos, other then maybe a few end-credit scenes. Ant-Man is up next, then Captain America: Civil War (2016), followed by Doctor Strange (2016), and then Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (2017), we have a good feeling Thanos will show up here and have a bigger role before the showdown with the Avengers crew in Infinity War-Part 1 (2018).
