Might as well just make it a tetralogy.
Tetris (a game about stacking blocks) is getting a live action movie (presumably not just about stacking blocks).
But wait, there’s more! Empire reports that the film will kick off a trilogy of films.
Producer Larry Kasanoff explains that decision to make a trilogy was “purely because the story we conceived is so big. This isn’t us splitting the last one of our eight movies in two to wring blood out of the stone. It’s just a big story.”

Now, if for some reason, you think this all sounds stupid, don’t worry. Kasanoff went on to say that “We’re not going to have blocks with feet running around the movie, but it’s great that people think so. It sets the bar rather low!”
Hear that, it’s alright that we have zero expectations!
But anyway, for those curious, Larry Kasanoff has previously produced the 90’s Mortal Kombat films, and more recently directed Food Fight!
For those looking for an animated movie that will make you question your own existence, I cannot recommend Food Fight! enough. It’s unbelievable. Seek it out, or just watch the JonTron or Nostalgia Critic reviews.
Back to Tetris.
This “movie trilogy” is dumb. It will be dumb. BUT, if it’s anywhere near as good as Food Fight!, we might be looking at a blocky “masterpiece.”
