Bethesda Just Announced Elder Scrolls VI!

Instead of unveiling another form of Skyrim of some kind, Bethesda has just announced the next chapter in the epic Elder Scrolls franchise.

There have been what feels like a dozen version of Skyim released on nearly every platform you could possibly think of. Fans have enjoyed playing the title on consoles, PC, and even the Switch and VR, but now, we finally have something more to look forward to.

Bethesda took the stage earlier on Sunday to set up what gamers can expect from the studio in the next year or two, and among those announcements was a small teaser for Elder Scrolls VI. That’s right, the sixth installment of the Elder Scrolls series has been confirmed. As to details regarding the title? No idea. All we have is the short announcement trailer, and this:

“Currently in pre-production at Bethesda Game Studios, the acclaimed developers of Skyrim and Fallout 4. The highly-anticipated next chapter in the iconic The Elder Scrolls series.”

You can probably expect the title to be available on PS4, XBO, PC, and maybe VR ready, but nothing was confirmed, not even a tentative release date. We assumed the game was in the works for a while but we didnt expect it to be announced this year considering all the focus on ESO. We probably wont have anything more on the game until Game Informer pushes out an issue dedicated to it, or possibly later on in the fall. Either way, we are excited beyond words and can not wait to see what is in store for the core ES series.
