Following as a direct sequel to the 2013 film Battle of Gods, Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F features the resurrection of Frieza and a seemingly large army of henchmen bent on destroying earth and exacting their revenge on the remainder of the Saiyan’s who inhabit it.
Not much is known in the way of the plot outside the fact that Frieza is resurrected with the Dragon Balls by a couple of cronies named Sorbet and Tagoma, however he becomes a god that resembles an Oscar Award is not entirely known, though the use of the Dragon Balls are suspected.
Looks like Jaco the Galactic Patrolman will also be making his debut appearance in the anime series.
Dragon Ball Z: Revival of F gets its debut as a Japanese-only release on April 18, 2015. No confirmation on the FUNimation dub’s release date at this time.
What’s intriguing here, is that Goku is not only fighting alone (Saiyan pride, no doubt), but doesn’t appear to have transformed into a Super Saiyan at any point in any of the footage we have seen thus far. Wonder if this is a plot point of some kind…
