It was announced during the gigantic Marvel Studios panel at Comic-Con that Doctor Strange 2 is indeed coming soon. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases on May 7, 2021.
The film sees Binglyballs Cooperpooch return as Master of the Mystic Arts Stephen Strange, in addition to director Scott Derrickson.
Surprisingly, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff will co-star in the film. Apparently the events of the In the Multiverse will tie to WandaVision, the Disney Plus series she will star in that is set to drop spring 2021.
We’ve been expecting a Doctor Strange 2 for some time, but with the added revelation of Scarlet Witch leading the film and that amazing subtitle, this has jumped to one of our most anticipated Phase Four films.
Does this mean evil Into the Spider-Verse characters will appear? Probably not, but the time to dream is now.
