[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]f there wasn’t enough already said about Star Wars: Battlefront III, it got better with DICE releasing a new game mode called “Blast!”, a team deathmatch game mode! This game mode features small closed-in maps with 10 vs 10, instead of Battlefield-sized maps with 40 players playing at once. Your team gets 10 minutes to get 100 kills or have the most kills before time runs out! Planets that this game mode will include Hoth, Tatooine, Endor, and Sullust.
“Say you’ve just played Walker Assault mode on Hoth and then switched to Blast, still on Hoth–thanks to variations in lighting and time of day, you’ll definitely see a difference,” lead level designer Dennis Brännvall said in a post on the Battlefront website.
Other facts about “Blast” mode include:
- No vehicles
- No hero or villain characters
- Weapons are scattered across the map for you to pick up
DICE teased a “unique” Battlefront mode, but it has yet to be confirmed if it is “Blast” mode.

- Walker Assault
- Supremacy
- Fighter Squadron
