The name of the mysterious Beers-like character has been revealed in the August 2015 issue of V-Jump.
His Name is Champa!!

The new character Champa, who looks remarkably similar to Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction, still seems to be shrouded in mystery, but now we at least know his name. The identity of his female companion, who bears a striking resemblance to Whis, is still unknown at this point.
Whis and Beerus both keep to the line of name puns series creator Akira Toriyama is such a fan of. “Beerus” being a pun on beer and “Whis” being a pun on whiskey. “Champa” too shares in on the pun theme being a pun on champagne. Considering these characters are all puns on alcoholic beverages, we guess the new companion of Champa will be called Voka or Marita (vodka or margarita) or something like that. Not a bad guess, eh?
Dragon Ball Super comes to Japan this July debuting on the 5th and airing episodes each Sunday at 9:00am. No word yet on a North American release, though it is bound to happen soon. Hang in there.
