Joe Manganiello Rumored for Deathstroke in Justice League, Fan Concept Art Surfaces

Slade is looking stylish.

Last week Batman himself, Ben Affleck, tweeted out a cryptic video of a live-action version of the iconic DC assassin Deathstroke. This of course sent the Internet into a cyclone of speculation as to what this footage means for the DCEU, and more specifically, who is underneath that orange and black mask.

Months ago, it was rumored that True Blood actor and hunky hot man Joe Manganiello would be portraying Deathstroke in Suicide Squad. Obviously that didn’t happen, but the rumor has gained momentum again following the release of this footage.

As a response, the amazing fan artist BossLogic has posted a number of pieces imagining Manganiello as Slade. Check them out below.

The artist also gave Deadpool (a character originally created as a parody of Deathstroke) a paint job reflecting his DC counterpart.

This art is incredible, and we’re onboard with Manganiello playing Deathstroke, but is that really him in the footage? Will the character really pop up in Justice League? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
