Filming began earlier this year in Vancouver after a massively positive reaction from fans to leaked test footage of the movie; 20th Century Fox then moved the film into production. Deadpool is now in post production with a scheduled release date of February 12th, 2016.

The 8th film in the X-Men film series follows the title character, former mercenary Wade Wilson, in a story telling his origin. Equipped with master martial arts and arms skills and an insane healing ability, the Merc with a Mouth will go on a journey to find the man that nearly destroyed his life.

In addition to Reynolds, the film also stars Morena Baccarin as Copycat, Ed Skrein as Ajax, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, T.J. Miller as Weasel and the newly announced Andre Tricoteux as Colossus.

Tim Miller is at the directing helm for the movie and the screenplay comes from the creative minds of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is based on the Marvel Comics character created by Fabian Nicieza and Robert Liefeld.

Deadpool hits theaters on February 12th, 2016.
