Following SonicFox5000’s victory in the Dragon Ball FighterZ championship during EVO 2018, fans were treated with a surprise announcement that Cooler will be indeed coming to FighterZ as a DLC character.
Cooler was revealed via a very hype trailer that first recreated famous battles from the Saiyan Saga of Dragon Ball Z, culminating in a battle between base Goku and base Vegeta, who will be available to download as DLC fighters starting August 8. The Cooler reveal follows this battle.
The brother of Frieza, Cooler has starred in two Dragon Ball Z movies: Cooler’s Revenge and The Return of Cooler. In FighterZ, Cooler is playable in his Final Form, which is significantly bigger and taller than his brother’s.
Cooler seems like a brutal and more physical fighter than Frieza too, and can use the devastating/baller special move Supernova.
With the announcement of Cooler, there’s only FighterZ DLC character that’s left to reveal. Per data mining from a few months back, it looks like the Dragon Ball Super version of Android 17 will be the last DLC fighter, and like Cooler, we’re very excited for his debut.
