Capcom has announced they will be holding their Capcom Pro Tour Stop this year at San Diego Comic-Con.
As if you didn’t have enough reasons to make it to San Diego this (or any) year, Street Fighter aficionados can enter a tournament against other attendees. Non-attendees are eligible to enter in the tournament as well, so you don’t have to scalp a ticket to the con in order to get in to the tournament.
A total of six qualifying tournaments will be held at the Capcom booth inside the Convention Center, and a seventh will be held at the Omni Hotel on Sunday for participants that do not have access to the con. 16 players will qualify for the final tournament that will be held at the Omni Hotel after the con is over on Sunday.
The tournament is part of Capcom’s Pro Tour, which is a full-year Street Fighter league that qualifies players for the Capcom Cup in December. More information and a tournament schedule is available on the Capcom Unity site.
