New Call of Duty gets a release date (supposedly)
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]ccording to the image of a supposed pre-order card leaked via reddit, the next installment of the record-breaking Call of Duty series includes a “remaster” of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare if you order the “Legacy Edition“. Little has been revealed of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (this title has not been confirmed by Activision) but the leaked image gives us a look at the box-art and more importantly: a release date.
“Infinite Warfare” is set to be developed by Infinity Ward, the same team that brought you Call of Duty: Ghosts and the Modern Warfare series.
Activision has stated that they will not have their own booth at E3, but will instead show off its latest games in PlayStation and Xbox’s booths. The new Call of Duty title will reportedly be exclusive to Sony’s booth.
Activision has described the incoming Call of Duty as “innovative” but knowing Bobby Kotick, the word “innovative” might be a stretch. The past couple of years have been a little rough on the series, hopefully Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare can help us relive the glory days of Modern Warfare 2.
