The fan favourite gamemode will be in the franchise’s next installment.
[dropcap size=small]L[/dropcap]ove it or hate it, Call of Duty is a game we can expect every year. Some iterations have been more popular than others but the next installment hopes to appease fans old and new. Tomorrow, August 16th, Activision and Infinity Ward will reveal details about the upcoming zombie mode.
“It’s almost time for the big premiere! Grab the popcorn and get ready to scream…” read a tweet from a few days ago. The film theme continued today when Infinity Ward tweeted a film reel with the hashtag: soon, a film reel and popcorn were used as teaser images earlier this year too. All of the previous zombie game modes in the Call of Duty franchise have taken place in the same universe, rumors are that the narrative arc will somehow come to a conclusion in Infinite Warfare. They have also touted that the mode will have unique gameplay features and mechanics though there are no specifics yet.
Activision and Infinity Ward will be revealing the details about the zombie gamemode tomorrow but fans can expect more news about the game this week as Gamescom begins on Wednesday. Previously, the zombie modes have included historical figures like Richard Nixon and JFK. It would be cool to see if the new mode will feature actors and actresses either from the past or present, it would fit the film motif nicely.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released November, 2016 on the Xbox One, Ps4, and PC.
