Aaron Berg to pen Borderlands film adaptation.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he Borderlands movie is one step closer to the big screen as Lionsgate hires Aaron Berg to write the script. Though Berg doesn’t boast the most impressive resume, he was recently hired to write the script for the third installment of the G.I. Joe film series. In 2013, Universal Studios paid 1.2 million for the rights to his script ‘Section 6’, a spy caper detailing the establishing of the British Intelligence Agency: MI6.
Borderlands will be produced by Avi Arad and his son Ari through their production company Arad Productions which was responsible for films like Spider-Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man. The father- son team had this to say about the movie
“Borderlands has a unique story-driven narrative energy and rich multi-dimensional characters that position it to become a singular motion picture event,”
While various sources claim it’ll most likely be an R-rated and edgy take on the source material, little else is known about the film at this time. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments!
