Lucius Malfoy is the new Star Trek Captain. 10 points for Slytherin.
[dropcap size-small]C[/dropcap]BS has finally revealed who will be playing the much-coveted role of captain in Star Trek Discovery and it’s Jason Isaacs. Best known for his role as Lucius Malfoy, at least in the United States, Jason Isaacs will play the role of Captain Lorca in Star Trek Discovery. The actor tweeted the photo below shortly after CBS released the news with a caption that said, “Nice chair. Hope it’s comfy.”
Star Trek Discovery will take place roughly ten years before the events of the original Star Trek series and Spock’s father, Sarek (played by James Frain), will appear in the series. The show is boasting a strong list of cast members and is due to air its pilot episode on CBS before moving to CBS’ subscription-based platform, CBS All Access. The show was originally supposed to air in February but due to delays, the show’s premiere date has been moved to May of this year.
