The much-anticipated Season Pass will include two maps from the classic trilogy!
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]f you thought that Star Wars Battlefront is fun now, the expansions that are coming out will make it much better. According to an article by Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, Battlefront will be getting new outfits for characters and heroes, private matches, daily challenges and more on Tatooine.
Free updates for the game will also be available in March, as well as a detailed outlook on the Season Pass for Battlefront. The paid update in March will include battles on the Death Star and Cloud City.
“As we said back in November, the release of Star Wars Battlefront was just the beginning,” Ingvarsdottir writes. “Our team has been listening to your feedback and building a calendar of new content and tuning changes we will be making to the game throughout 2016.”
EA’s first update to the game was in early December when they released a free update for the Battle of Jakku. This added 2 maps to the game, as well as a new gamemode called Turn Point.
Today’s update will add support to the following game types: Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt and Heroes vs. Villains. The updates will all be on the Tatooine Survival map, which will be renamed Raider Camp.
The Hoth map will also get updates to it, well more like updates to it’s heroes. Luke Skywalker and Han Solo will have Hoth-themed outfits for players who completed the Hero’s Holiday community mission in December.
The updates also include some tweaks to the weapons and modes, an introduction to daily challenges and the option for Private Matches between players.
The next free update will be in February, which will include a new survival match and multiplayer map on Hoth. The multiplayer map will be included in Walker Assault, Supremacy, Fighter Squadron, and Turning Point. The update will also allow Turning Point to become available on all maps that support Walker Assault and Supremacy, instead of just Jakku.
In March, there will be another Endor map added that will support Walker Assault, Supremacy and Turning Point, as well as another survival map on Tatooine.
March will be the beginning of all the content included in the Season Pass. Here’s what to look forward to by month:
- Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim (March 2016) – Fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine.
- Star Wars Battlefront Bespin (Summer 2016) – It’s hunt or be hunted in this action-packed experience set in the Cloud City of Bespin.
- Star Wars Battlefront Death Star (Fall 2016) – That’s no moon! One of the most iconic locations in the Star Wars universe makes its debut inStar Wars Battlefront.
- Star Wars Battlefront Expansion Pack 4 – Title TBA (Early 2017) – We will have more details to share about this exciting new expansion pack in the coming months.
