Timewarner CEO brings up the upcoming Batman V Superman movie at a recent conference in Atlanta.
Since the finale of the Dark Knight trilogy, Batman fans have been awaiting the DC superhero’s return. The fans will be getting their wish in the upcoming film, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The movie has been publicized for a few months now with an official teaser trailer released back in April.
At a recent Timewarner event, CEO Jeff Bawkes, displayed a teaser of the upcoming movie. Bawkes claimed that DC Comics-related movies have upwards of 10 movies coming out in the next few years, but Batman V Superman is currently the only DC movie set for release in 2016. The conference was uneventful for the most part, but Bawkes did display a snapshot of Ben Affleck who will be playing the role of Batman. Time warner didn’t release much about the movie, but the movie is definitely starting to get some attention.
The Batman suit has some obvious changes from the Dark Knight films, but it’s probably good that Batman got what looks to be an armor upgrade. The Joker and Superman do have a pretty different set of super powers.
The response from fans has been quite divided. Dark Knight fans are skeptical for the newly casted Batman. However, DC comic fans are excited for the two superheroes to cross paths in a feature length film. The movie is slated to come out March 25th, 2016.
