The first teaser for the highly anticipated animated film is everything the fans could ever hope for.

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ith Batman: The Killing Joke being released later this year, hopefully at San Diego Comic-Con in July, it is about time that DC released a teaser for the film.

While only being 24 seconds long, the teaser shows Batman and the Joker fighting, the Joker in prison, and the iconic Joker laughing image associated with the comic. The animation looks like it was ripped straight off the pages, which shows that the animators are staying as true as possible to the comic.

Along with the teaser, a 12 minute extended sneak-peak of the film hit the internet but has since been taken down due to copyright claims from Warner Brothers.

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill have both confirmed that they will be reprising their roles as Batman/Bruce Wayne and the Joker.

Batman: The Killing Joke is set for release Summer 2016.
