NO SHIELD. NO HAMMER. NO PROBLEM. These Ant-Man posters show off that the tiny hero can hold his own.

Ant-Man will be in theaters in just a little over a month. We’ve seen the trailers, we know the cast, we have an idea about some spoilers relating to tie-ins to the much larger MCU, but now we finally get to see Ant-Man standing tall (sort of) beside some of the most distinguished characters in Marvel’s history. In the form of 3 one sheet posters.

In the Ant-Man film, Michael Douglas plays Hank Pym, a scientist who designs the Ant-Man tech (and becomes a member of the Avengers in the comics), and develops a sort of partnership with a thief by the name of Scott Lang (Rudd). Lang steals the Ant-Man technology in order to save his daughter from a life-threatening condition, and later becomes the second Ant-Man as a thief-turned-hero. Lang’s Ant-Man is the one who we see joining up with the Avengers for the first time, though it is plausible that Henry “Hank” Pym has a history with S.H.I.E.L.D. and Nick Fury, respectively.

Also considering the technology developed by Howard and Tony Stark, and the studies done by Bruce Banner, especially during the events of Age of Ultron, it would make sense that the group in the film knows very well of Pym’s research and developments. Though not stated in Avengers: Age of Ultron, it should be noted that the original creator of Ultron in the comics was none other than Hank Pym.

Assumptions galore, its possible that the technology that Tony Stark and Bruce Banner tinkered with to bring Ultron to life could have been designed or impacted by Hank Pym’s earlier designs and studies. Though we will not know for sure until next month when Ant-Man comes to theaters.

Ant-Man comes to theaters July 29 and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Wood Harris, Judy Greer, David, Dastmalchian, and Michael Douglas. The film is directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Adam McKay, and Paul Rudd.
