[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]ccording to recent reports, you may be seeing Al Pacino in an upcoming comic book movie some time in the near future.
Ok, ok– I mean a new comic book movie.
Pacino himself has revealed via the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast that he has met with Marvel Studio’s president of production Kevin Feige, possibly to discuss Pacino’s future involvement in any of the many upcoming Marvel Studios films.
Pacino drew attention after his admittance to being a fan of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, citing its evocation of a “Shakespearean feeling”. Since those remarks, he was asked if he would ever consider joining a Marvel production, to which he responded:
[dropcap size=small]“[/dropcap]I would do anything that I could understand in terms of how I fit in it… And you know, of course if I could fit in it. Anything’s possible.”
Well, it didn’t take long for the call to come rolling in. Pacino didn’t elaborate too much on the nature of the meeting, but suggests that the meeting happened because there may be a role that Feige feels is right for him, or a role Pacino would be interested in.
Of course with the avalanche of Marvel films on the way, there’s no shortage of roles Pacino could play. A Doctor Strange villain? Star Lord’s father for Guardians of the Galaxy 2? What role would you like to see the Oscar-winning actor step into? Let us know in the comments below!
