It will not be called Rambo VI: First Blood Part III: The Series.
Keeping in line with the recent trend of bringing successful films to the small screen (Limitless, Minority Report, Fargo), it looks like a Rambo series is coming to Fox.
Variety reports that the series, titled Rambo: New Blood, will be one-hour episodes chronically the relationship between the iconic Rambo and his ex-Navy SEAL son, J.R.
While it has yet to be confirmed, Sylvester Stallone will probably return as John Rambo for the new show. At the very least, Stallone might guest star in a few episodes a la Bradley Cooper in Limitless.
The Rambo film series follows the titular Vietnam War veteran in his never-ending quest to fight bad guys and shoot big guns.
Even with four films under his belt (the most recent being 2008’s Rambo), Stallone doesn’t seem to be done yet.

In 2012, the star confirmed he would be working on a fifth film titled Rambo: Last Blood. If this film will enter production, or will tie in with the new series remains to be seen.
We’ll keep updated with Rambo: New Blood as more news is announced.
