Warner Bros. Discovery has certainly put a lot of effort into their upcoming The Last of Us series and it definitely shows in the first official teaser trailer, which you can see for yourself below. It gives off a very similar vibe as the game it is based on, despite the obvious separation from playing the game and experiencing it yourself firsthand versus watching the cutscenes. That said, we are more excited than ever to see what Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have in store for us when the show comes out next year.
The Last of Us has been described as being “the largest television production in Canadian history”, having filmed in Alberta and Calgary over the course of 2021 and 2022. The show will run its first season with a total of 10 episodes with what we presume will be a multi-seasonal model for the series.
Starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, The Last of Us will debut exclusively on HBO Max next year.
