Han Solo’s best friend is getting his own show on Disney+ series and we couldn’t be more excited. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy made the announcement during Disney’s investor call and named Dear White People creator Justin Simien as the writer.
The galaxy’s favorite scoundrel, Lando Calrissian, will return in Lando, a brand-new event series for @DisneyPlus. Justin Simien (@JSim07) is in the early stages of developing the project.

One notable omission from the announcement is whether or not Donald Glover will return as Lando. Fans of the actor and fans of the Star Wars character all praised his work as Lando. Announcing his involvement in the project would be huge for Lucasfilm. Fingers crossed it happens.
