The introduction of fast travel into video games with extremely large maps has always been an incredibly useful feature. Gone are the days where you mindlessly run from one edge of the world to the other and now with ray tracing the loading times for fast travel are even shorter. But what if you could skip that process entirely? What if you could fast travel in style while enjoying beautiful views of the Red Dead Online along with hilarious, panicked screaming?
A Redditor by the name of u/jaitom6 first discovered this glitch and posted it to the Red Dead Online subreddit. His video shows if players head to McFarlane’s Ranch they can throw hatches or throwing knives at the bridge. Due to the physics of the game and odd coding the planks on the bridge will begin to bounce up and down for launching players a massive distance.
A lot of players assumed Rockstar Games would hot fix the issue within a day or two but Eurogamer‘s Emma Kent posted a video of her using the same glitch just yesterday. You can check it out below.
Well Red Dead Online's bridge glitch sure is still working lmao pic.twitter.com/ALaoo3DQCQ

This isn’t the first time glitches have been discovered in Red Dead Online with players last year figuring out ways to go outside of the map to discover towns in Mexico which were cut from the game. But with Red Dead Online set to be released as a standalone game in February of 2021 we can assume Rockstar Games will address this glitch in their next patch so take advantage of it while you can.
