| Pokemon GO Teases Mythical Pokemon Fossil in Latest Twitter Post
Earlier today, the official Pokemon GO Twitter account posted an interesting image of what appears to be some ‘mythical’ fossilized footprints in a teaser that suggests a new Pokemon is going to be revealed soon.

Nothing more has been shared since by any Pokemon or Nintendo account, but you will recall that Niantic revealed the mythical Pokemon Meltan in an unexpected GO event after the end of one of its Community Days last year.
It should also be pointed out that while the image is super vague, it may not necessarily be a new Pokemon that was ‘discovered’, but rather an already existing Pokemon that has yet to appear in GO. This would make it new to the game, but an already known Pokemon within the current National PokeDex. Sources suggest that this Pokemon could be the Bug/Steel Pokemon, Genesect, which was revealed in Gen V as part of the Unova PokeDex of Black and White versions, respectively.
Whether the Pokemon is, in fact, Genesect or something new has not yet been confirmed, though we suspect that it is just a Pokemon that is new to GO and not an entirely new species. Either way, we will likely find out more later this week.
