Luke Cage is back and has what looks like even greater problems than he did when the first season aired. In addition to last season’s queen-pin Mariah Dillard, played by the incredibly talented Alfre Woodard, the mysterious and bulletproof Bushmaster has arrived and it appears he can go toe to toe with Luke Cage. Some of the same themes from last season appear, with both Claire Temple and Misty Knight hanging around to keep Luke Cage in check. But, as Luke Cage so eloquently put it, “Sometimes brutality gets shit done.” and it looks like Luke Cage will need that mindset to take on the Bushmaster himself. The only question is, will it be enough?
