“Fight you? No, I want to kill you.”
With his father’s gi and bigger pupils, Gohan returns from the Sacred World of the Kais to join Dragon Ball FighterZ. Adult Gohan, that is. Or Ultimate Gohan. Or Mystic Gohan. Whatever. Check out his character trailer below.
Gohan’s appearance and attacks are based off his look from the Majin Buu Saga, specifically from once he returns to Earth after receiving Old Kai’s Unlock Ability. This technique allowed Gohan to fully unlock his hidden potential, making him a devastating threat without having to go Super Saiyan. He (very briefly) used this awesome power against Super Buu, and had a huge advantage over the monster…until Buu absorbed Gotenks…and Piccolo…and then Gohan too. Sigh.
Qualms with the Buu Saga aside, Adult Gohan looks like a mobile fighter capable of swift and powerful attacks. We see him dart around and destroy Kid Buu, before pulling off his special attack, the Ulltimate Kamehameha. Interestingly, Adult Gohan is only fighting Kid Buu in this trailer, as opposed to Super Buu, the only opponent this version of Gohan faces. It could just be that Super Buu has yet to be revealed, but it’s looking less and less likely that Super Buu is in FighterZ. #boobuu #superbuubestbuu
Adult Gohan joins Gotenks and Kid Buu as the latest characters to join the FighterZ‘s roster. With the game less than two months away, will we see another character reveal? Or will they be saved for DLC? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Dragon Ball FighterZ arrives on January 26 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
