CEO Andrew Wilson has vowed to make things right for the Star Wars community this time around.
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen Star Wars Battlefront was released back in November of 2015 fans were understandably excited about the game’s release. However, it quickly became apparent that Star Wars Battlefront was lacking in many areas like space battles and game content but supplied impressive graphics in an attempt to make up for it. Luckily, it appears that Electronic Arts has listened to Star Wars fans and made the necessary adjustments for Battlefront II to succeed where it’s predecessor did not.
It was during a post-earnings phone call that the CEO of Electronic Arts, Andrew Wilson, explained that the company was heavily invested in Star Wars Battlefront II.
“Through FY19 and beyond, our portfolio will continue to grow,” Wilson said. “There will be more new experiences for our Battlefield fans, our Star Wars action-adventure IP from Visceral will make its debut, and farther out, we’ll have a new Star Wars title from our partners at Respawn. We continue to invest deeply in new IP, including the new game from BioWare and another project from our Motive studio.”
Battlefront II will boast more content for the multiplayer aspect of the game as well as the single-player campaign and the game will also dive into the events which took place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. With Battlefront II to be put on display at the EA Play event, we can’t wait to see what this game has to offer and how EA has taken the necessary steps to win back it’s customers.
