Get me pictures of Spider-Man! Wearing slippers!
Just a few months after we were introduced to him in Civil War, Tom Holland is now busy filming his first solo outing as our favorite webslinger in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Looper has snagged some exclusive photos of Holland in full costume on set in Atlanta, GA filming the anticipated MCU film.
Check them out in the gallery below:
Based on what Looper has gathered, this appears to be an action sequence where Spidey is chasing down a cement truck. Why? We don’t know, but there’s some cool things to point out.
One thing is the spider-suit itself. It appears to be very similar to the one Tony Stark gave to Peter Parker in Civil War, but more importantly, we see that Holland is actually wearing it. No CGI shenanigans. At least in this scene.
Going off of that, we also see that Holland is connected to wires as he navigates around the truck. This shows us Holland will at least do some of his own stunts for the film, even if they are small in scale.
But perhaps the greatest thing to come of these set pics is the photo below:
Spider-Man under an umbrella on a hot day wearing slippers. I know this won’t be in the movie, but somehow I’m even more excited.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
