Take a leap of faith with Michael Fassbender in the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed.
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen it comes to video games being made into films history has not been kind, but don’t let that hold you back from enjoying the very first trailer for Assassin’s Creed. The trailer for the film premiered during Jimmy Kimmel Live! and aside from the choice to use a Kanye West song the trailer is astounding, watch it below!
Following the release of the trailer, a poster for the film was released online showing Michael Fassbender in midair as the assassin Callum Lynch as he takes the iconic leap of faith that fans of the game will easily recognize. Instead of releasing a film that follows the very first Assassin introduced in the first Assassin’s Creed franchise, Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad, the film takes place in the game’s universe when the Spanish Inquisition was at the height of its power and influence. Abstergo Industries and the infamous Templars will also play a major part in the film’s plot line.
Assassin’s Creed, starring Michael Fassbender, Jeremy Irons, Marion Cotillard, and Michael K. Williams will be in theaters December 21st, 2016.
