Say it isn’t so Hans!

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]n a recent interview with the British program Hard Talk composer Hans Zimmer has said that he will no longer score superhero movies. Zimmer cited a lack of inspiration as the reason for him to step away. He said that he had been working on superhero movies for the past 11 years and he was ready to move on. He also said that while working on his latest score for Batman vs Superman, it was hard to find inspiration and he had to collaborate with another composer to get it done.

Considering how good Hans Zimmer is I would say that he has definitely deserved the opportunity to step away from scoring superhero movies. He can use his talents to score some other great movies that we will all be able to enjoy. As Hans Zimmer said it isn’t about the money. No one should ever do something because of money and this is a great case. Hans Zimmer is a fantastic composer with a beautiful body of work and we should appreciate what he has done for the movies he scored. He will be missed but there will be other composers who will be more inspired than Zimmer would have been and if Zimmer gets really inspired again and wants to come back for another superhero movie that would be awesome. In the end, we should not be sad or upset that Zimmer is done scoring but we should be happy that he gave us some great scores that helped create the movies that we have all enjoyed.
