[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen it comes to fan art, some artist really have a way with bringing certain movies, games, books, etc. to life in a way that the original creators never quite could. Websites like DeviantArt for example, are filled with thousands of submitted artwork created by fans and you could spend hours looking at them all. One artist, in particular, Lap Pun Cheung, has a certain talent for doing this and his work on Star Wars is quite impressive.
Lap Pun Cheung took his inspiration from CG+’s Star Wars: Reimagined contest and created these images on his very own. Lap Pun Cheung is a big fan of Studio Ghibli’s (Miyazaki) anime films like Howl’s Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, etc., and so he decided to reimagine Stars Wars through the eyes of Hayao Miyazaki.
