Hugh Jackman is making sure that his final Wolverine film does the mutant justice.
[dropcap size=small]H[/dropcap]ugh Jackman’s days as everyone’s favorite mutant are numbered and have been ever since he announced that Wolverine 3 would be his last film as the adamantium-clawed mutant. That being said, Hugh Jackman has dedicated himself to making sure that his last Wolverine film is the best that it can be, pleasing not only himself, but fans as well.
The Collider recently caught up with Hugh Jackman while he was promoting his indie film at the Sundance Film Festival and he had some interesting things to say about Wolverine 3.
“We have a script. A full script. To tell you, two days ago I got that the full finished—well, it’s not finished, but we’re getting super close—as you can see by the rate of my facial hair. That might give you a good clue that perhaps…yeah, it’s sooner rather than later.”
If you’re curious about when Wolverine 3 will begin filming your guess is as good as anyone’s, even Hugh Jackman’s.
“I don’t have a firm date yet. My thing and I’ve told you and I’ve told everyone, it’s my last one, for me I want it to be perfect, so the moment I know it’s perfect, bang, we’ll go.”
Aside from when Wolverine 3 will begin filming and what plot of the film is, the biggest question on everyone’s mind is where will Wolverine 3 tie into the X-Men storyline following the events of X-Men: Apocalypse/X-Men: Days of Future Past? Keep in mind that The Wolverine no longer exists (thankfully).
Wolverine 3 will be released in theaters on March 3rd, 2017.
