The no-one-is-safe rule on The Walking Dead applies to everybody but one?
[dropcap size=small]F[/dropcap]or some time now The Walking Dead has had plenty of characters come and go. Whether they die horribly or they leave because of extenuating circumstances, everyone leaves, that’s the rule. That being said Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman believes that one character from the show is an exception to the rule.
It was during New York Comic Con this year that Robert Kirkman broke the news that he has one single character that he feels that he could never, ever kill off. At first you may think that it would be Rick Grimes, a character we have been following since the very beginning and can be seen as the main character of the show. Or maybe you’re thinking that it could be fan-favorite Daryl Dixon? Sorry to burst your bubble, but you’re wrong.
“The Carol that’s in the comic was my attempt to show just how broken an individual can become from the zombie apocalypse. The Carol in the show, which is a much better character let’s be honest, actually is made stronger by all the more horrible things that happen to her in the show. Killing her would definitely not … we can’t do that.”
Should we believe what Robert Kirman said? Probably not, the man has a history of sending popular characters to their death. Then again, Carol has become a very strong, steadfast and independent woman who don’t need no Rick Grimes. After all, both her daughter and her husband died brutally and not many people can come out on the other end of something like that acting like nothing is wrong.
What do you think? Is Carol safer than everyone else on the show, or is Robert Kirkman setting us up just to tear our hearts out? Lets know in the comments below or on Twitter!
