Less than a month after Kermit The Frog broke his four-decade relationship with Miss Piggy, he has found his next big date!
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]fter 40 years as a couple, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy decided to part ways. In just a matter of weeks, Kermit has already found a new date! According to People Magazine, her name is Denise. From marketing.
The weird part about this situation is that Miss Piggy and Kermit still work together on their late-night talk show Up Late with Miss Piggy. For ABC’s The Muppets, the situation will be monitored so fans can see how their relationship is after the breakup. Um, awkward much?
“[Denise] is always stopping by the set of Up Late,” a source told the magazine.
Even though it’s only been a few weeks, that hasn’t slowed down Kermit from calling her “his girlfriend.” As fast as this relationship has progressed, it doesn’t have Miss Piggy worried at all.
It seems as if Miss Piggy has also moved on from her four decade relationship as she has moved on to….wait for it….Liam Hemsworth! Hemsworth posted a photo of the two with each other on Instagram a week ago, with a caption saying: “Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world. Kermit, #SorryNotSorry. #TheMuppets #misspiggy.”
The photo had two purposes: to declare his love and announce his role in The Muppets and it was his first post on Instagram. Entertainment Weekly reported that Hemsworth will play as himself.
“After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship,” Miss Piggy previously wrote on Facebook. “We will continue to work together on television (The Muppets/Tuesdays 8 p.m, this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter…unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding.”
The Muppets will make their debut on Tuesday, September 22nd!
