J.K. Rowling reveals where in Hogwarts Harry’s son ended up.
Yesterday was the first day of September, which means back to school for all you unfortunate kids out there. (Not me though! Hooray for college graduation, boo for adult responsibilities.)
This September 1st was a special one, as it’s when James Sirius Potter, son of the famous Wizard and Ginny Weasley, began his first year at Hogwarts, as revealed in the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.
While the epilogue itself takes place in 2017 and focuses on the youngest Potter child, Albus Severus, series author J.K. Rowling nonetheless reminded fans on Twitter about James’ first day.

She then later revealed which House the Sorting Hat placed James in (prepare to not be shocked).
Have just heard that James S Potter has been Sorted (to nobody's surprise) into Gryffindor. Teddy Lupin (Head Boy, Hufflepuff) disappointed.

Yep, no surprise indeed. Especially considering it seems like the important characters always end up in Gryffindor, the evil ones in Slytherin, and everyone else in the other two.
All jokes aside, this was a nice gesture to fans clamoring for more Potter content.
Even though Rowling seems to be done writing books for the massively successful series, she did write the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a spin-off of the Harry Potter films. It will come to theaters on November 18, 2016.
