[dropcap size=small]N[/dropcap]ot too long ago a leak about a supposed program from Sony that would allow Playstation 4 owners to vote for free games on Playstation Plus was released. Shortly after, Sony officially announced the Vote to Play program. It is possible that this is Sony’s response to Microsoft deciding to let Xbox One owners vote on which Xbox 360 games will be backwards compatible.
Not many details are currently known about the Vote to Play program, Sony did not release a lot of details. However, what is known is that Playstation Plus members will be able to cast a vote for one of several Playstation 4 games that are included in the upcoming month’s Instant Game Collection. Whichever game has the most votes will be free for that month and the games what don’t win will be available for a lower price than normal.
Right now August will not feature the Vote to Play program so it is possible that the program will go live in September. What game(s) would you like to see receive the top vote in September? Let us know in the comments below!
