Nintendo has announced Earthbound Beginnings, the English version of Mother, will be coming to the Wii U Virtual Console.
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ay back in the earlier 90s Earthbound, officially known as Mother in Japan, was released for the Super Nintendo. A strong fan-base grew around the Mother series, but yet for unknown reasons Nintendo never released outside Japan, even though the game was translated to English. Fast forward twenty-five years and the game has finally been released.
The trailer for Earthbound Beginnings is great news for fans of the Mother series in North America. It shows that Nintendo has been listening to its fans outside of Japan and will hopefully continue to do so. That being said, there may even be a chance that Mother 3 will be released in the United States.
Earthbound Beginnings was released on June 14th on the Wii U shop.
