We previously reported a number of actors being considered for the roles, and now those coveted parts have been filled. X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in the 1980’s, and Singer previously stated he would be looking for younger actors to play versions of Storm, Jean, and Cyclops (previously portrayed by Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden, respectively). Alexandra Shipp is best known for her role as KT Rush on the show House of Anubis. Sophie Turner, perhaps the most well-known of the three, can be seen on HBO’s Game of Thrones as Sansa Stark. Tye Sheridan recently stared opposite Matthew McConaughey in Mud.
In other X-Men: Apocalypse casting news, Patrick Stewart recently revealed in an interview with Larry King that neither he nor Ian McKellan will be returning in their roles as Charles Xavier and Magneto.
