Eagle-eyed fans on social media have spotted what appears to be an accidental reveal.

Finally, we now know when the highly-anticipated live-action The Last of Us series is debuting over on HBO – January 15th, just over two months from now. The news comes from a possible accident as the release date appeared on a text description for the Season 1 Sneak Peek and not in the form of an official announcement from HBO or any related social media.

The premiere date also appears to differ by region, as UK users are reporting that the date for them showed up as Jan. 16 rather than the 15th for US users. Presumably, the episodes will release at the same time worldwide regardless of time zone so that different regions don’t have anything spoiled for them before they can actually watch it themselves.

For more information on The Last of Us, you can check out the official HBO page dedicated to the upcoming show which includes a lot of details about the cast, crew, plot, and so much more.
