[dropcap size=small]N[/dropcap]intendo and GungHo Entertainment are teaming up to bring the wildly successful iOS game, Puzzle & Dragons, to the 3DS as Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition. While there is no confirmation for a release in North America, The 3DS game is confirmed for release in Japan on April 29.
Since its launch for iOS in 2012, Puzzle & Dragon has been downloaded more than 32 million times in Japan alone, and more than 6 million times in North America.
The game will stay true to Puzzle & Dragon, but will feature Nintendo favorites like Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, Princess Peach and more. The announcement comes after Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata, said last year that they saw the possibility to expand their character licensing.
